Home loan eligibility calculator
See how much home loan a bank may give you. Banks check two limits, what your income can carry and the RBI cap on loan against the home value, and lend the lower one.
Estimate only. Each bank sets its own income share (FOIR), rate and credit checks. RBI loan-to-value caps: 90% up to ₹30 lakh, 80% up to ₹75 lakh, 75% above. Card dues counted at 5% of the balance. This is not a sanction.
Common questions
How do banks decide how much home loan you get?
They take your income, subtract existing EMIs, and allow EMIs up to a share of income (FOIR). They then cap the loan at the RBI loan-to-value limit for the home price.
Does a co-applicant raise my eligibility?
Yes. Their income adds to the total, and the loan can be larger. Both incomes and both sets of existing EMIs are counted.
Does age affect home loan eligibility?
Yes. The loan must usually end by retirement age, so an older borrower gets a shorter tenure and a smaller loan.
